Please allow me to introduce myself to you. My name is Earl Elliott,
President of Elliott Marine, Inc. I grew up in
northwest Arkansas; joined the U.S. Air Force on June 8, 1948 for 3 years.
When the Korean War started in 1950, I was extended for one year. My last
year was spent there and I was honorably discharged on June 5, 1952 as a
staff sergeant the last 6 months of service.
Upon being discharged, I
went to work at North American Aviation in Downey, California in the day and
attended National Diesel School in Los Angeles at night from July 1952 until
mid 1953 completing the courses. Upon completion, I worked in the new car
department as mechanic in Fort Worth, Texas until mid 1954. I then worked
for Cummins Sales & Service in New Orleans, La. from mid 1954 as a
mechanic's helper and worked up to Service Manager. I resigned my job at
Cummins in August 1964.
Subsequently, for the
next 24 years I worked for a towing company in the oil transport business in
Houma, La. from August 1964 through June 1988, beginning as Shop Forman and
retired as Marine Superintendent. My duties were to maintain 30 workboats
and 70 oil transport barges. Simultaneously I started and operated a paint
and marine supply business, installation and operation of all equipment on a
boat or barge. For over 40 years, I have been involved in the mechanical
aspect of equipment.
In 1990, I began this
business from my house. I call on shipyards, and large fleets in the Gulf
Coast area to sell engine controls, shutdowns and many other marine
supplies.
My knowledge and experience in these areas are available to you as a
service, free of charge. I am looking forward to working with you.
Earl L. Elliott
